GEO

GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, helps a brand get found and mentioned in AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. The work covers how AI tools see a brand, which sources they cite, and which signals make the brand easier to recognize.

What I do

I check how AI tools see a brand: what they say about it, which sources they cite, and which signals help them recognize it.

AI Visibility Checks

Prompts in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude show whether an AI tool knows a brand and which sources it cites. The results give a baseline to compare against later.

Brand Mentions Review

Mentions of a brand on other websites can help AI tools recognize it. A review lists where the brand appears and where it is missing.

Schema and sameAs Signals

Schema code tells machines what a page is about, and sameAs links connect a site to the brand’s official profiles, such as LinkedIn. A testing tool such as Google’s Rich Results Test checks that it is set up correctly.

llms.txt File

The llms.txt file is a newer, proposed file that lists a site’s most useful pages for AI tools. Support from AI companies is still limited, so it works as a small extra and not a guarantee.

Brand Name and Location Consistency

Using the same full name and location on key pages and profiles makes it easier for search engines and AI tools to tell who a brand is. A check looks for gaps and mismatches.
